Redesign

I've been meaning for weeks to do a new design for this page. But my web design skills are non-existant and I get easily discouraged. In spite of that, I've had an attitude of "I want to do it myself!" whenever The Husband offered assistance. I mean, I wasn't trying to make too many changes; I thought I should be able to figure it out for myself. But this weekend I finally gave up, told him how I wanted it to look, and let him take over. I think he did a pretty good job.

I love it. I especially love the new blog banner.

Ironically, I just used the source code from your (old) blog to figure out how to code some changes on my blog. I'm still not finished, but I'm having fun figuring out CSS.

I like it (and not just because the pink that hurts my eyes is mostly gone.)

Good work, The Husband.

And good decisions, Liz.

Hi to both of you! I love the cherry blossoms... will you leave them up year-round or only for Spring?

Looks good! I'm going to be redesigning soon (and ditching the pink), too. Seems like the season for change...

Props to the husband.

I like it too, and wish I had someone nerdy to do my coding for me. I still can't get pictures to work :(

Thanks guys.

Ann: CSS? Um, ok. You sound so clever. I know wee tiny bits of HTML and that's about it. These things are sort of like sewing: I wish I knew how to do it, but not enough that I actually have the patience to learn.

Matt: At least it wasn't white-on-black writing. That is too hard to read. (White-on-blue is slightly easier.)

Lynn: I think I may rotate banners, but I don't know. I have a few other cherry blossom pictures I might want to use too.

Mary: Everybody does seem to be changing. I think it's kind of nice.

Christie: Maybe I can get your pictures to work? That's the one thing I've got figured out.

Now if only I could think of anything to write on my pretty new page. It's the same sort of block I have when I'm looking at a brand new notebook, I'm afraid.

I kind of started working on a new web page for myself. Most of what I know is flash, but I'd like to learn some more html for it so that it's not all flash.

I love your changes, but where are the naked women you told me about?

The Husband is almost as talented as the wife.
