One night at dinner, probably over a year ago, I mentioned to Brian that I thought one of our friends was dating someone new.
"What makes you think that?" he asked.
"I read it on the internet."
And we laughed at the funny world we live in where you read your friends' blogs or journals or whatever you want to call them and find out what's going on in their lives. It's funny and kind of weird, but it also just makes things so easy.
Sure is a convenient way to let folks know that we're having a baby, don't you think?

Congratulations! Is this how your family and friends will hear the news?
(I just stumbled across your blog via dcblogs live feed, I'll definitely bookmark and come back again)
YAY! Congratulations! This is awesome. I'm so happy for both of you.
When your child has a baby in the future, he or she will notify friends via text message, or a transmission to their brain implants.
Congratulations :)
Congratulations! (I arrived here from dcblogs). May you have a happy and healthy pregnancy.
*smiles and smiles and smiles* congratuations!
Awesome! Congratulations! And that is definitely the way to let people know you're pregnant. :)
So old news! :)
I suspected something when you started writing about puking Indian food...
Congrats!!!
congratulations! that makes 2 (or is it 4? ;) of us!
Thanks, folks.
Mary: Interesting, I was not yet pregnant when I started puking Indian food. Just happy coincidence, I guess. My friends in college always joked about my weak stomach and said that when I was pregnant would be when I finally stopped getting sick. I wish they had been right. However, I think the pregnancy does help explain bursting into tears on the Metro.
Janet: No, we had the good sense to tell family in person or by phone. Or at least The Husband did. I thought it would be a great test to see who actually reads this thing. He also vetoed singing telegrams.
Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!
LIZ and HUSBAND!!!
CONGRATULATIONS!
I hope you don't mind me recommending a name, but I think "Mica" is the way to go...for a boy...or a girl.
